Introduction:
RG 2062 SBR Latex Bonding Admixture is a styrene butadiene
copolymer latex admixture that is designed as an integral adhesive
for cement bond coats, mortars and concrete to improve bond
strength and chemical resistance such as resistance from abrasion,
reduce shrinkage & concrete bleed, intermolecular adhesion,
resistant to deicing salts.
Primary Applications consists of Toppings, Patches and leveling
courses, General reconstruction work/latex modified overlays,
Thin sets, Terrazzo, Stucco and bonding coats, Cement Admixture,
Waterproofing and bonding strength of cement plaster as bond
coat, as an Excellent water proof and weather resistant adhesive
for paper & board packaging, etc.
Surface preparation
and application:
Clean and wash the surface before applying
as primer coat diluted to 1:2 with water and second coat with
equal proportion after 4 hours interval or according to the
batch size with the same ratio. Allow to dry for 1 or 2 hours
to develop slight tackiness and then pour compactly rich cement-concrete-sand
mixture ensuring that there are no air pockets or cavities present
between the old to new concrete contact areas. It is advisable
to use 1.0 – 1.5 kg per bag of 50 kg cement previously
mixed in the predetermined quantity of water. The topping must
be applied to the final primer coat whilst the latter is still
in wet condition. USE only portable
( drinking ) water for mixing. Note:
Acid etching is not acceptable.
To achieve better results in Civil Construction it is normally
used @ 1.5 kg/bag of SRC and 2.5 kg/bag of OPC previously mixed
in the predetermined quantity of water, as the cement/mortar
additive. In the abnormal soil / atmospheric conditions, the
dosage must be increased to double the specified quantity.

its products, nor the condition of the surfaces to which they
are applied, a Limited Warranty is provided. If the products
do not perform as specified. Red Garden Paints liability will
under no circumstances exceed replacement of the product. |
