Description
PVC Solvent Cement is a premium quality low viscosity, easy to use, fast setting and offering superior bonding strength adhesive formulated for PVC pipes and fittings. The product is ideal bonding and coupling of rigid PVC/UPVC/CPVC pipes and fittings for cold and hot ( upto 60° C ) water and sanitary lines for domestic, commercial and industrial applications behaving as a cold weld joint of the two ( male –female ) parts such as sockets, elbows, T’s, Y’s, valves etc. It is completely safe for drinking water upon complete curing, irrigation, wastewater, sanitary pipes and conduits etc. The weld-bond so obtained between pipes and fittings withstand the normal line pressures and remain unaffected by hot and cold water running through the lines, for years as long as it is left undisturbed. Similarly it is quite effective used as adhesive to bond different PVC based objects together.

Application Procedure:
Shake or Stir before use
- Cut pipe evenly by hand saw or pipe cutter and remove burrs from in & outside.
- For best results prime with SCP 2022 PVC Solvent Cement Primer to both the pipe and fitting which will remove the dirt and oil from the surface of the piping as well as soften the piping in preparation for solvent welding.. And then apply SCH 2023 PVC Solvent Cement to both the parts with a dauber, brush in can or roller. For large voids apply a second even layer on the pipe.
- Without delay push the pipe into the socket touching the bottom in ¼ turn twist motion and hold for 10-20 seconds to make sure the pipe does not pop out and remove excess material without disturbing the joint.
- 15 minutes set time must be allowed before handling. Full curing testing time depends upon the pipe size, temperature and pressure. Larger diameter pipes would require longer cure time.
